My final thoughts on NX: 2 Consoles and Mobile interconnectivity

My final thoughts on NX:

Nintendo will release 2 Consoles: Handheld & Home Console
Main Gimmick of the Handheld: Interactive Dynamic AR
Main Gimmick of the Home Console: Could be Basic AR with Glasses. I've seen some things related to a Haptic Screen Controller (prototype), may or may not be included in the final products.

The Home Console has streaming features:

Can stream AAA games to the Handheld, Basic Games to Mobile
Nintendo might offer ‘basic’ detachable controllers for the Mobile Games & the basic games that can be streamed to Mobile.

   DMP Handheld:

-       I speculate that DMP is involved in the Handheld for several reasons
-       I know about several Indie Developers who are working on NX AR games.
-       The AR tech is where DMP makes more sense than Nvidia: DMP is already highly involved in the AR/3D/3D Eye Tracking technology, used in Nintendo 3DS/New 3DS. More important: DMP is working on next-gen AR tech.

The company has just released the M3000 GPU series in august 2016.

The GPU series is build around VR/AR and DMP has multiple design wins for Q1 2017.

Among the design wins:

-       Mobile SoC
-       Portable Gaming Console SoC (VF2 with Custom M3000 series GPU)

   AMD Home Console:

The Home Console will be powered by AMD.  AMD has multiple design wins, among those also for Gaming in 2017.

I recently asked Xenko about future Nintendo platform support (Handheld or Home Console)

“Support for Nintendo’s next Console is planned for Mid-2017”.

I specifically asked Xenko about Handheld & Home Console (future platforms) support and that was his reply.  So what all this info in mind: Enjoy the reveal!

  2. Can you elaborate better on the streaming ability of the home console? Does it mean that you can play games via streaming?

To what capacity the streaming is possible? Internet, same network or close to the Home Console like the Wii U controller?

If so, does it mean that the Home Console will act like the Supplemental Device Unit for mobiles and the handheld?

But why would you need streaming to the handheld if you can just take the cartridge and use it in the handheld instead? I don't see why they would have two consoles under the same system but not being compatible.

I see the handheld as a "low res" version of the home console or are you implying that some games will be exclusive to each platforms and some home console exclusives would only be playable on the handheld though streaming?

I also wonder about AR capabilities for the Home Console, how can that be practical unless you have cameras and extra screens.
